A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Mr. Bise has produced records for Azica, Deutsche Gramophone, Sony Classical, Nonesuch, Decca, Naxos, Albany/Troy, EMI/Universal, Summit, AEON, Crystal, CRI, Walden, Skarbo, and Nuscope. He produced music for“A Late Quartet” starring Christopher Walken and Phillip Seymour Hoffman among others, and features the Brentano String Quartet released on Decca Records. Mr. Bise also produced music for Academy Award nominee Terrence Malick’s “To the Wonder” starring Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, and Javier Bardem.

Mr. Bise serves as Broadcast Producer and Director of Audio for the Cleveland International Piano Competition and the Hilton Head International Piano Competition. He serves as recording producer and engineer for the Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival and ChamberFest Cleveland. He was the recording supervisor for the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival from 2006-2019. He serves as Director of Recording at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and is a member of the faculty.
After spending summers working at the Aspen Music Festival and the Tanglewood Music Festival, Mr. Bise began his career in Dallas working at TM Century, Inc., the nation’s leading provider of broadcast services. There, he rose to the rank of senior mastering engineer where he was responsible for products reaching over 4,000 stations worldwide. Clients included ABC Radio Networks and Casey Kasem’s American Top 40.
Mr. Bise is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and the Audio Engineering Society.
